At The Bank of Landisburg, the basis of each customer relationship, many of which span generations, is trust.  Our customers have chosen to do business with The Bank of Landisburg, and we feel obligated to honor that relationship with great care, beginning with the information they have chosen to share with us.  We believe that customer privacy should not be compromised.  At the same time, we want to offer our customers the financial products and services they need to accomplish their financial goals.  We believe we can accomplish both through our privacy policy.

Confidentiality and protection of customer information is one of our fundamental responsibilities.  And while information is critical to providing quality service, we recognize that one of our most important assets is customer trust.  Safekeeping customer information is a high priority at The Bank of Landisburg.  We will also adhere to these privacy policies and practices for all closed and dormant accounts.

We collect, retain, and use information about our customers only where we reasonably believe that it will help administer our business or provide products, services, and other opportunities to our customers.  We may collect and retain nonpublic personal information, such as income, net worth, social security numbers and addresses from the following types of sources:

  • Information received from you on applications or other forms.
  • Information about your transactions with us or others.
  • Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.

The Bank of Landisburg continually strives to maintain complete, current and accurate information on our customers.  We also pledge to respond to requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.

All Bank of Landisburg employees and directors are required to follow our company's "Secrecy Agreement," which states that all customer information is considered private and privileged and is to be used solely for the purpose of banking business and providing customer service.  We are committed to the security of financial information.  All our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment that protects from third party access.  We maintain and grant access to customer information only in accordance with our internal security standards. 

The Bank of Landisburg does not reveal specific information about customer accounts or other personally identifiable data to outside parties unless:  1) It is customer requested or authorized; 2) The information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by the customer; 3) The information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency; 4) The disclosure is otherwise lawfully permitted or required such as sending information returns to the internal revenue service, responding to subpoenas, and writs of execution.

The bank may disclose all the information it collects, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which the bank has joint marketing agreements.
